Stall Decorating Contest

Include your horse in the celebration!  We will have a stall decorating contest around our Patriotic theme of "Freedom is Not Free".  So come prepared to decorate your stall(s) in red, white, and blue or camouflage, or whatever colors and decorations you choose to show your patriotism.  Be creative!  First, Second, and Third Place winners will be announced during the Derby on Saturday evening.  Whether you have one stall or twenty, we encourage everyone to participate.  No rules or qualifications here... just a fun way to acknowledge the day.

Letter Writing Campaign

As a craft activity, all youth present at the show grounds will be invited to participate in an activity to write letters to our troops and express their appreciation.

Derby Ceremonies

A  ceremony including a presentation of the Star Spangled Banner and special recognition of veterans, and military personnel both, active and inactive, will be held prior to the start of the Derby Saturday evening.

Worship Service

A casual cowboy like worship service will be held with a message and hymns around our theme “Freedom is not Free”.

Wear It Proud!

Every exhibitor who exits the pen during a class wearing red, white and blue (blue jeans count) will be given a raffle ticket for a drawing to be held during the Derby Saturday evening.  Non-exhibitors can participate by purchasing a raffle ticket in the show office.  The prize will be announced at a later date, but for now here is a hint . . .it is something really cool that everyone will want to go home with . . .so start planning your show wardrobe now and come prepared to WEAR IT PROUD!
